Established in 1974, Smithstown has become one of Ireland’s leading precision engineering firms, with a well deserved reputation for dedication to product quality and customer satisfaction. With many years experience in the design and manufacture of high precision multi-cavity plastic injection moulds for various industries including the medical filters industry.
The company also manufacture orthopaedic instruments, custom gauges and other precision components in low to medium volume production from our cnc equipment in wirerosion, sparkerosion, milling, turning, surface grinding, OD/ID and centerless grinding.
In 1990 the company achieved the Irish Quality Mark and in 1992 the ISO 9901/EN 29001 was achieved. The ISO 9001:2000 standard was achieved in 2003. The ISO 13485 standard was achieved in Jan 2007.
The building up of close relationships with customers is seen as top priority in Smithstown and this is illustrated by the fact that the company still provides an uninterrupted service to its 1st customer from 1974. |
